Mini Haul from Hong Kong + Mini Skinfood Product Review

Been super busy since coming back from Hong Kong... this shall be a short short post about some of my hauls from the trip.

I didn't buy much things for myself this trip as I was really travelling on a budget... But still....

This is the bag I brought for the trip together with a hand carry bag:

And these are the bags that I have to lug back after 7 days:

Yeah, I didn't buy much stuff for myself but I bought TWO new travel bags. Crazy. What happened to the red bag that I brought there? It's stuffed in the green Roots shopping bag 'cause I found it wasteful to throw it away. Heh.

I'm happy with all my buys :)

Show off my bag:

My Roots Backpack!

I went Hong Kong and Macau with only 3 things in mind to buy:

1) BB Creams
2) Sport shoes
3) Some nice tees

So I was feeling kinda sian 'cause I was walking inside the Citigate outlet where all the factory outlets for Nike, Adidas, Esprit, etc are. And I couldn't find anything to buy. All the sport shoes were ugly and old designs. Absolutely nothing worth buying.

I ventured into a Roots outlet and then I saw the brown backpack. And I grew to like it more and more. The pockets on top can be detached to be used as a waist pouch. The mobile phone carrier can also be detached. There's a compartment inside to store my laptop, and the ultimate plus point that won me over, there is also a rain cover for it. It was a worthwhile S$70 spent in my opinion. I love it! This bag is so gadgety (I can be a nerd sometimes) and just exploring all the pockets made me a happy person, lol.

I'm so gonna use this backpack for my next trip :)

Anyways enough about the bag, here's another picture of some of my hauls:

Bangles and cap from H&M, 2 BB creams, Skinfood Peach Sake Ice Mist, retractable brush and a makeup set.

I didn't buy any top from H&M 'cause I couldn't see anything I fancy (and prolly because there was no sale haha.)

I really wished I have bought more BB creams! I have no idea why they were so cheap lah. Before this trip I was reading Cozycot's forums, and I read about this cotter talking about Lung Ching Dispensary, saying it's really cheap to buy there.

And she was right! I found my BB creams there. I do not know if they are fake products or not, although they seem genuine enough to me. I got a Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream in Shade 1, and an Etude House BB Magic Cream, both for only like S$20 each? Super cheap lah. Kinda regretted not getting more (and I seldom regret things). I initially grabbed 3 or 4 off the rack in my excitement but changed my mind afterwards. I have really sensitive skin, so I got paranoid about the authenticity and compatibility of the products and placed some of them back.

About the Skinfood Aloe Sun BB Cream:

So far, everything seems ok. I have used the Skinfood BB cream for 3 days already, and gotta say, my skin feels slightly smoother (psychologically?) and my face felt less oily. Coverage was not bad, I think. Compared to my previous tinted moisturisers, this definitely gave more coverage. It's quite thick, so I had to blend it really well into my skin. The shade was quite close to my skin as well as I'm quite fair. Haven't tried the other BB cream yet, shall continue monitoring this Skinfood one first.

About the Skinfood Peach Sake Ice Mist

The Skinfood Peach Sake Ice Mist was a total impulse buy. I grabbed it off the shelf at the very last minute before paying. So far it has done nothing for me after 3 days of using, except that it smells really nice. My pores are not any smaller, my face is still as oily, but putting the mist on my face on a hot day? It feels darn good :p It's like putting peach flavoured ice cubes on your face hehe. I shall continue using this and hopefully it might shrink my huge pores and control my oil production :D

I would have actually preferred getting a Skinfood Mushroom BB cream in place of the mist instead. ;p Read good reviews about it... Darn shouldn't have think so much when buying. Haha.

Regarding the makeup brushes, although I don't usually put on makeup, I've wanted a retractable brush for some time already (I like the fact that it's retractable lol). It wasn't on my must-buy list, but I got both the brush and the makeup set because it was cheap. Each only cost like S$6.

Well, this is the end of my post on part of my haul from Hong Kong, shall try to blog about my Hong Kong + Macau trip next when I have the time :)

Oh, and I updated my blogshop!

Very pretty necklaces, for only $10.90 each :) Go take a look!
